Giving back has been part of Out There from the beginning. As we bring the film to audiences online, we want every rental and purchase to create meaningful support for nonprofit organizations working to protect public lands, connect people with the outdoors, and strengthen the communities surrounding these special places.

To make that giving possible responsibly and in compliance with applicable charitable-giving requirements, Westward Project LLC works with Our Change Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, and its technology partner, Change. This partnership helps administer contributions generated through the Out There platform and distribute funds to eligible nonprofit partners.

How Giving Works

Through September 30, 2027, Westward Project LLC contributes $5 for each rental and $8 for each purchase of Out There: A National Parks Story to Our Change Foundation (“OCF”), EIN 86-3353394.

When you select a nonprofit partner through the Out There platform, Westward Project communicates that organization to OCF as the intended beneficiary of the contribution generated by your order.

All contributions are made by Westward Project to OCF and are subject to OCF’s exclusive control and discretion, applicable law, and OCF’s Grantmaking Policy. OCF distributes funds to designated nonprofit organizations that are eligible to receive grants. If a designated organization is ineligible to receive funds, an alternate eligible charitable organization may be selected.

A Note About Your Purchase

Your rental or purchase of Out There is a commercial transaction and is not itself a charitable donation by you. The charitable contribution is made by Westward Project LLC as a result of your qualifying rental or purchase. Accordingly, no portion of your payment should be treated as a tax-deductible charitable contribution by you.

Our Giving Partner

Our Change Foundation is a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity that makes grants to eligible charitable organizations. Contributions generated through this promotion are processed through OCF’s technology partner, Change, and distributed to eligible designated nonprofit partners in accordance with OCF’s Grantmaking Policy and applicable law.
